“I have been calling for an upgrade to Heathridge Park since 2019. Our State and Federal Labor Governments have committed $7.5 million to support this project. I will continue to monitor the City of Joondalup’s progress on delivering this important redevelopment at Heathridge Park.”
- Emily Hamilton MLA
The facilities at Heathridge Park are among the oldest in the City of Joondalup and are in significant need of redevelopment. The City of Joondalup itself has found that the current facility is inadequate for our growing community.
That’s why Emily Hamilton MLA and Tom French MP have delivered $7.5 million in funding from the State and Federal Labor Governments to support the much-needed redevelopment of Heathridge Park.
Improved facilities will provide the opportunity for our local sporting clubs and community groups to continue to expand memberships, including providing the amenities needed to support the growth of women’s sport across several sporting codes.
Heathridge Park is a cornerstone of our Joondalup community – it must receive the necessary investment to support the local community groups and sporting clubs that call the site home now and into the future.
Emily Hamilton MLA is pleased to share that the Joondalup Council have endorsed progressing a meaningful redevelopment of Heathridge Park through a staged approach.
The City of Joondalup’s plan includes:
- Stage 1: New community sporting facility, tennis court upgrades and associated landscaping and civil infrastructure works.
- Stage 2: Refurbishment of Heathridge Community Centre and demolition of Heathridge Park Clubrooms.
- Stage 3: Replacement of existing play space, recreational and sporting infrastructure, installation of a new basketball pad, and associated landscaping and civil infrastructure works.
- Stage 4: Demolition of Guy Daniel Clubrooms and associated landscaping and civil infrastructure works, subject to Council direction.
As the Member for Joondalup, Emily Hamilton MLA will continue to monitor the City’s progress on delivering this important project at Heathridge Park.
