Emily Hamilton is delivering this significant State Government infrastructure, with Ocean Reef Marina works started.
Construction on the Ocean Reef Marina is making great progress.
The new breakwaters and outer sea walls are now complete, having reached their full length and height.
As the breakwaters now shield and protect the coastline of the project, construction on the Ocean Reef Marina has moved into the next phase of land-based works which are well underway.
This includes significant works on the new state-of-the-art facilities for Marine Rescue Whitfords, the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club and the Joondalup City RSL Sub-branch.
The new community facilities are due for completion in late 2025.
These land-based works also includes critical progress on Perth's first ocean pool, family beach and playground.
Perth's first ocean pool is due to open in 2026.
The world-class development is expected to provide a $3 billion injection into our local economy.
Our community has been excited about this project from the outset, participating in consultation and sharing their ideas.
