The WA Labor Government's major investment in our public transport network is transforming how our communities connect.
The Yanchep rail extension is well underway, with significant works underway, connecting northern communities with our Joondalup city centre. The Yanchep Rail Extension will be operational from 14 July 2024.
Perth’s first electric buses are currently operating on the Joondalup CAT and select suburban bus routes and is shaping the future of public transport powered by renewable energy.
The new electric buses operating in Joondalup carried more than 250,000 passengers in the first 12 months of operation and covered more than 140,000km, saving approximately 230 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions in the process.
