A re-elected McGowan Labor Government will deliver $40,000 to install electronic security shutters at Beaumaris Primary School.
Beaumaris Primary School would like to enclose its well-used undercover assembly area with electronic security shutters to increase safety and security.
The undercover area is used by students for assemblies, sports, events and activities, as well as by the community.
The upgrade will provide safety and security to the facility with its beautiful mural, while allowing light in through translucent panels.
A school representative said the ‘school standard’ shutters would be amazing to make their beautiful area safe and secure.
Comments by Emily Hamilton MLA, Member for Joondalup:
“As a long-standing Board Member of Beaumaris Primary School, I know the school community will be pleased with the added security, and it will benefit Beaumaris Primary School students, staff and community for years to come.
“Having had my own children attend primary school locally, I am glad that projects such as this can be delivered for local schools.”
