- WA Labor to deliver $80,000 to improve the play areas at Joondalup Primary School and Joondalup Education Support Centre
- More natural play space to be added to current playgrounds
- Inclusive play area for Education Support Centre
A re-elected McGowan Government will deliver $80,000 to improve the play areas at Joondalup Primary School and Joondalup Education Support Centre.
Joondalup Primary School would like to see more natural play spaces added to current playgrounds, with mud kitchens and climbing areas to support the curriculum and keep students active.
Joondalup Education Support Centre is also seeking an inclusive play area for its youngest students, targeting gross motor skills, creativity and imaginative play.
Students at both Joondalup Primary School and Joondalup Education Support Centre would benefit from an enhanced, safe and accessible play area.
Comments by Emily Hamilton MLA, Member for Joondalup:
“Students at Joondalup Primary School and Joondalup Education Support Centre will benefit over many years with a bright and sheltered play area that supports learning outcomes.
“Having had my own children attend primary school locally, I am glad that projects such as this can be delivered for local schools.”
