Students and teachers of Beaumaris Primary are eager to make use of new developments at their School
On Monday morning, staff and students were enthusiastic to meet Ms Hamilton and discuss the new fence successfully delivered to Beaumaris Primary School.
The children and teachers were excited to have the opportunity to meet their local Member of Parliament and witness how community action can bring about change.
During the 2017 election, the Beaumaris Primary School P&C committee and staff members spoke with Ms Hamilton about the need for a new perimeter fence to surround the School and keep students safe and the School site protected. Motivated by reports of anti-social behaviour and damaging of property, Ms Hamilton advocated strongly on behalf of the School community.
The completion of the planned fence was a $200,000 commitment made by the McGowan Labor government for school upgrades in WA and demonstrates the Government prioritising education and safety in our State.

Comments attributed to Emily Hamilton MLA:
“With two children at school, I understand the importance for safety and security projects like the new perimeter fence for Beaumaris Primary School. Protecting local property and community activities is valuable for everyone in Joondalup.”
“With the McGowan government investing $22.2 billion for schools over four years, I am glad to see that small projects such as this can be delivered and I can see that the Beaumaris Primary School community’s confidence has increased with the knowledge that their school is being cared for”
