Do you need a JP?
28 April 2020
• Witnessing centre closures due to COVID-19 limits access to Justice of the Peace (JP) services
• JP temporarily available at the office of local Member of Parliament, Emily Hamilton MLA
A number of local residents have been seeking options for document witnessing while COVID-19 restrictions have caused Justice of the Peace (JP) witnessing centres at Joondalup Courthouse and Joondalup Library to be temporarily suspended.
Local Member of Parliament, Emily Hamilton, has arranged a JP to provide services at her office in Joondalup.
The JP will be available by appointment only between 10.00am and 12noon on Thursdays.
This arrangement will be in place until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and regular witnessing centres reopen.
Anyone requiring documents to be signed by a JP can make an appointment by calling Ms Hamilton’s office on 9300 3990 or emailing [email protected].
Comments by Emily Hamilton:
“I’m pleased to be able to facilitate this service to help residents.
“Thank you to all of our JP volunteers who provide their time to assist our community.”
