  • This event raised over $4,500 and a total of $10,400 has been raised by our community since 2018

Emily Hamilton, Member for Joondalup, has hosted her sixth Cancer Council WA Biggest Morning Tea, with the community event raising over $4,500 for vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.

This was the biggest one so far, with around 150 local residents and community group representatives filling the Beaumaris Community Centre in Ocean Reef. Since 2018, Joondalup’s Biggest Morning Teas have raised over $10,400 for the Cancer Council WA.

Every year the local business community support the event with donations to assist fundraising efforts and this year was no exception.

Joondalup & Districts Country Women’s Association members operated a stall to sell their wares, donating some of the profits to Cancer Council WA.

The morning tea was supported by The Boulevard Café and Tearooms in Woodvale, North Metropolitan TAFE and The Baking Edge.

Representatives from Cancer Council WA attended the event and spoke to guests about the important role that fundraising has in providing support to those affected by cancer.
