Your McGowan Labor Government recently announced the 2020-2021 State Budget. As part this, the Premier announced a historic one-off $600 Household Electricity Credit for every household in Joondalup.
This means you receive $600 credit on your residential electricity bill.
After a year of such uncertainty, I’m sure this news will be welcomed by you.
The $600 Household Electricity Credit will appear on your next Synergy or Horizon Power residential bill after 1 November, with the vast majority of credits in place for households before Christmas.
This builds on other household support and relief measures already announced as part of the McGowan Labor Government’s $5.5 billion WA Recovery Plan, including the $610 electricity credit already provided to customers who qualify for Energy Assistance.
In the lead up to Christmas, the $600 Household Electricity Credit will boost household spending and support WA jobs, meaning your credit will have an effect beyond your household budget. I encourage you, if you can, to use it to support local businesses in Joondalup.
I’m proud to be part of our McGowan Labor Government that is delivering for Joondalup and keeping WA safe and strong.
If you are not a direct customer of Synergy and pay for electricity costs, you can apply online in December 2020 for the credit: www.wa.gov.au/service/community-services/grants-and-subsidies/apply-household-electricity-credit
