“Heathridge Park is one of the oldest facilities in our community – that’s why I have secured $2.5 million in funding to support the redevelopment. I am calling on the City of Joondalup to commit to a redevelopment of Heathridge Park – and I need your support!"

- Emily Hamilton MLA

The facilities at Heathridge Park are among the oldest in the City of Joondalup and are in significant need of redevelopment. The City of Joondalup has found that the current facility is inadequate for our growing community.

That’s why Emily Hamilton MLA and the WA Labor Government have delivered $2.5 million in funding to support the much-needed redevelopment of Heathridge Park.

Improved facilities will provide the opportunity for our local sporting clubs and community groups to continue to expand memberships, including providing the amenities needed to support the growth of women’s sport across several sporting codes.

Heathridge Park is a cornerstone of our Joondalup community – it must receive the necessary investment to support the local community groups and sporting clubs that call the site home now and into the future.

In December 2024, the City of Joondalup Council finally endorsed a plan for the Heathridge Park redevelopment.

This followed a Community Consultation process during which I restated our State Government's support for a major redevelopment, and I expressed my view that any upgrades must create a multi-generational community facility that is truly fit for purpose.

However, I am disappointed to see that the City has not set aside any funding towards the project.

The $2.5 million I have secured is the only funding that has been locked in to deliver upgrades at Heathridge Park.

I will continue to advocate for upgrades at Heathridge Park.
