• Joondalup Netball Association partners with Insurance Commission of Western Australia (Insurance Commission) on Belt Up campaign
• The campaign encourages seat belt use to reduce the severity of injury in car accidents
Joondalup Netball Association (JNA) had a visit from Member of Parliament Emily Hamilton over the weekend, to promote the Insurance Commission’s Belt Up campaign.
JNA’s senior community netball teams will play with netballs carrying Belt Up branding. Its players are counted among the 230,000 plus netballers throughout the State, meaning the message will have significant reach.
Comments attributed to Emily Hamilton:
“People are killed and injured on WA roads each year from not wearing a seatbelt.
“Well done to Joondalup Netball Association for spreading the important message of securing seatbelts before any car journey.
“The Insurance Commission is to be acknowledged for funding the campaign since 1997, including providing sporting equipment to grassroots community teams.”
